tomatops9:58pm: The Search.
I just realized this at a very odd time, but next year I will not be returning to Langstaff! (tear)

MEANING! That I think this community needs a new Moderator to take over the job...

I've made this community open to anyone now, so anyone can join it. If someone joins it and starts posting crapolla, you can easily remove them by going to "MANAGE" and clicking "COMMUNITIES". The list will show the communities you've created and you have all the options you want.

The job is simple...just read posts and make sure anyone isn't posting anything bad =)

Anyone interested?

tomatops7:42pm: REMINDER.
JUST A REMINDER THAT FALL PLAYS AUDITIONS ARE...

Monday September 25th

AUDITION FOLKS!

Essentially, as I said before, it's suggested you bring a monologue but we do have a gigantic pile that you can go through before stepping into the room.

AND OF COURSE! Everyone knows it's gonna be a blast this year and we'd love for YOU to be a part of it!

Be there or be octagonal.

14th September 2006

tomatops8:08pm: THE FALL PLAYS.
Alright, alright. Let us get a hold of ourselves here.

AUDITIONS FOR LSS'S FALL PLAYS 2006 WILL TAKE PLACE THE 25th, 26th, and 27th OF SEPTEMBER IN THE DRAMA ROOM.

We will be providing monologues for those auditioning, but it is advised that you bring in something on your own. They can be taken from anything (play, movie, song lyrics, something you wrote yourself, etc) and they do NOT need to be censored.

INFORM YOUR FRIENDS! INFORM YOUR CLASSES! INFORM THE CRAZY HOBO DOWN THE STREET! LET EVERYONE KNOW!

So yes, be there or be square mates! Or...octogonal, if you like. Or even triangular, if that's your thing. Scalene, Isosceles, Equilateral, THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

Hope to see ya'll soon!

tamiii5:27pm: Prefect Meeting
I know I could just easily check the announcement board for this... but I felt like triple checking on here for when the meeting actually is (for the Prefect meeting). I heard that it's going to be next Tuesday (the 12th) after school in room 101... Did anyone hear anything different?

tomatops9:54pm: Schedules
Though I've read many of your journals, this is a community nonetheless, so...

How is everyone's schedule?
Are you happy with it?
Are you peeved with it?
Or are you indifferent?

29th August 2006

tomatops11:53am: Guidance.
Alright, sorry if this is a little late, but I just phoned Langstaff and it appears everyone was both right and wrong.

The Guidance office WILL be open but WILL NOT do any course changes or modifications to your schedule. So, the earliest possible date to switch out/drop a course will be sometime during the first week of school where you can catch all the updates via the morning announcements.

Ack, I need to switch out of Law! I find it scary that on my first day of school my entire schedule could be switched around quite a bit. *sigh*

That being said, I'm going to go to Guidance on registration day and try and switch anyway. Yeah. I know. I'm desperate.

23rd August 2006

tomatops8:26pm: Registration
As promised, I have the information on registration for those who don't have the sheet with the times and prices. Registration will likely be in the Langstaff Cafeteria as always.

For students entering Grade 10:
August 30th, 2006
1-4 PM

Students entering Grade 11:
August 31st, 2006
8:30-11:30 AM

Students entering Grade 12:
August 31st, 2006
1-4 PM

I don't expect that there's anybody here that will be attending Langstaff for the first time, so the MANDATORY FEES are: $33.00 for all students. This fee includes an agenda and your Student ID card.

OPTIONAL FEES are $8.00 for a Student Price Card (gets you discounts at random places) and $40.00 for a Yearbook where there will be a $5.00 increase in price after registration. So if you're ordering a yearbook, might as well do it early.

Also, please welcome our newest member, who isn't a student, no, but a club at LSS! lssmovieclub.

LSS Movie Club folks! So, if you want to have a say in what they're watching, you can always leave any suggestions, questions, comments in that journal.

Alright, so that's pretty much it, and enjoy your final two weeks of summer everyone!

15th August 2006

tomatops12:41am: Guidance.
I hate reminding people of school, but I've gots a question:

Anyone here know if you can go to Guidance on registration day to switch/drop courses?

If anyone knows, that'd be great. Thanks!

8th August 2006

tamiii1:09pm: BIG Question...
When is registration? & ... would you know the time?

I've heard August 30/31st... and I'm pretty sure they didn't specify it in our report cards, or even through a letter [yet?]

I hope everyone's first month of summer went splendid! :)

23rd July 2006

tomatops10:00pm: Summer!!!
How's everyone's summer been?

I took summer school but dropped cuz well... let's just say my course wasn't going exactly as planned. Yeah...now I'm working and trying to finish my drama script. This could be considered uneventful, which it is to an extent cuz I...live in a different neck of the woods than everybody else, so I have no one to hang out with all that much =(

12th July 2006

rolinstone11:01pm: Summer?
Hey do guys realize that in two years you will still be part of this community...but you wont be in Langstaff any more...not that we are either at the momment due to the fact that its summer...but oh well.

8th July 2006

tamiii2:38am: Summer Plans?
Is anyone doing anything interesting this summer? :)

I hope everyone's having a splendid time so far! I have a feeling it's going to go by really fast.

Oh yes, and I'm going camping for 9 days 8 nights at the end of July, and first week of August. :) Love love love!

11th June 2006

tomatops10:12pm: Assembly
Anyone going to the assembly on Friday? I'm performing potentially the best stand up act I've ever done sadly.

Sad because it took me this long. Good cuz...well...I finally did it.

Also, nervous for exams? I'm sh-ticky on one of them. Yourselves?

2nd June 2006

Who saw it? I couldn't go unfortunately...me of all people...tear...

But was it good? I heard it was. Your opinions?

18th April 2006

melania557:57pm: Hey Langstaffers!
Woot, I'm posting here. I feel so special.
How was everyone's Easter/passover break? Mine was alright, I didn't do too much...but I'm not looking forwards to classes.
Is anyone buying school clothes? I'm still not decided, but I'm leaning a bit closer to no...Like, I want the stuff, and it's good to support the school...but I spend WAY too much money. Plus, LEAF (Langstaff's environment activist front-woot woot, join us!) is getting t-shirts. they say langstaff, so if I really want to show my school spirit, I could.
SO yeah, reply away! :) please=)
